Who am I?

Why am I here?

Is there a God who actually cares?

I’m in my fifties, and I still wrestle with these big questions.

Those questions have shaped me. They’ve made me a seeker of truth, a deliberate wanderer, and a man who refuses to settle for easy answers. I question everything, yet I chase the kind of truth that can be known.

I’m a powerlifter, an addict in recovery, and a Jesus follower who doesn’t have it all figured out. I am, like all of us, a mix of brokenness and glory.

I believe the Bible tells the truest story there is: one of a messy humanity and a God who enters that mess out of love. I hold on to the hope that good doesn’t just exist—it governs the bad in a way that allows humanity to exist in relationship with God. And I live for the day I get to experience eternal life in the glory of the Triune God.

What I do

I’m a servant before anything else—first to Jesus, then to the people He’s placed in my path. I share the hope of redemption with anyone willing to listen, because I know what it’s like to need it. My calling is to help others see that God’s love is real, and it reaches into the messiest parts of our lives.

Professionally, I serve 18 tribal nations as an Informatics Director. I’ve spent over 25 years in public health as an Epidemiologist for state and tribal health departments. I also lead a small AI start-up.

Whether I’m writing, speaking, mentoring, or just showing up—I try to make space for people to wrestle with truth and discover grace on the other side.

But my greatest titles are husband, dad, father-in-law, and grandpa. And through it all, I just want to live a life that points to the One who redeemed mine.

Testimony of Faith

In each of us, there’s something great. It extends beyond that short period from our conception to the grave. Humanity is more than a speck of dust in a vast universe. Why? We are spiritual beings that seek home, and there are answers to this search.

There is an active and vibrant narrative about our relationship with God, as described in the Bible. The Christian faith is centered on a relationship with a Sovereign Creator, who has made Himself known to us personally. We believe our relationship with God can be supported by both reason and faith. This wouldn’t be possible if He hadn’t communicated directly with us, becoming human so that we may be saved from eternal death.

The Bible is a manual of life as told by humans inspired by a personal God whose words point to His visit to us. The Bible speaks of an Earth-bound Messiah, Jesus, who is on this journey with us and is leading us home!

Faith is at the center of everything I do, on and off this platform. Lifting in action
